i brought my dog to sibu island -sea gypsy resort -sibu island ,johor ,malaysia

Hello ! so many people ask me how was my trip and lots of questions will be answered in this blog.



**DISCLAIMER: THIS IS NOT A SPONSPORED POST
decide on your own whether you wanna go or not BECAUSE AT FIRST I HAD DOUBTS TOO.

1)NO LINE
if you're the type no data no wifi no line will die, recommend not to go , im fine but my bf had a hard time and regretting not download Netflix movie to watch. however, my dad manages to find a good spot that has line to watch youtube.
2) NON-AIR-CONDITIONED
i never been to a resort that doesn't have air-cond. but luckily at night is cooling 
3)NO WATER HEATER
make sure u shower before 7pm because he water is VERY cold
4)NO LOCK
there's no lock or key for u to lock from outside. my bf isn't comfortable and confident leaving valuables like phones cameras and cash so we brought the things everywhere
5)NO HAIRDRYER
due to electricity support by a generator, it is advisable not to use high voltage kinds of stuff. but I get permission from them to bring my own hairdryer as I'm not risking my dog getting a cold as she's 12 years old

2)  HAR? CANNOT BRING DOG IN THE CHALET ??
 dog has to be sleeping outdoor.
YEP , officially you can't. but like other commenter mentioned you can actually sneak in your dog as long as you don't let the dog on the bed.read on to understand more

3) How's the food?

overall I'm very satisfied with Sea gypsy but I'd appreciate it if they could improve the food options.I understand that they might not wanna make it commercialized but honestly, I don't mind paying extra for better food. when we travel we, of course, wish for the best.my bf said I look happier with cup noddles

no chicken chop or whatsoever even you pay also don't have, I manage to order fries to satisfy my craving

I been to many resorts..normally buffet style have a lot meat selections and etc but for sea sgypsy only 1 meat 1 vege 1 rice that's all. no selection . i understand that's to avoid wastage but... really..sad..

4) HOW'S THE ROOM ? HERES MY MOM & DAD ROOM A FRAME RM270 PER NIGHT PER PERSON -NO CEILING FAN, ONLY WALL FAN , SO MY PARENTS COMPLAINT AND SAID IS HOTTER THAN MY ROOM .THEY RATHER HANG OUT OUTSIDE THAN STAY IN THE SAUNA ROOM -IM SO GLAD I TAKE THE OTHER ROOM BECAUSE THE TOILET HAS STAIRS & ITS VERY SLIPPERY MY BF FELL DOWN FROM STAIRS AND KNOCK OVER HIS HEAD AND WHOLE BODY BRUISE. LUCKY IS MY BF WHO FELL NOT MY PARENTS -MY MOM COMPLAINT NO PLACE TO HANG CLOTHES --asian mom OTHER THAN THAT IS FINE . MAKE YOUR CHOICE ON YOUR OWN

THIS IS RM320 PER NIGHT PER PERSON

THE TOILET MY BF FELL DOWN. the tiles are extremely slippery So be careful and not recommended for older people or children .

5)hows the service?
Honestly, most of the staff and people there are friendly and helpful.I have no problem except towards maisarah the one who reply our email & quoted our booking but I never meet her in person during our stay.

-oh btw they overcharge my oreo smoothies, in the menu clearly written RM20 but when we check out they bill me RM25 + other charges =rm28++ I even took a picture of the menu but I'm lazy to argue and rm8 is fine to me, I just don't like the fact the menu and bill do not match. money is not a problem. ( my bf paid already only tell me because I'm busy looking after my dog ) 
-Either I'm sensitive or they like to reply sarcastically(specifically MAISARAH "I don't understand why you bother to shower your dog on the beach".my dog has sensitive skin, I have to bathe her after seawater, or else are u going to pay for my dog medication?

overall im happy with their customer service except for Maisarah .  because I think that sentence i highlighted is not neccasary

look at the difference between MAISARAH AND JADE 
jade reply is much more comfortable, friendly compared with MAISARAH ,Even jade reply 1 month late I'm also not mad CAUSE LOOK AT THE WAY SHE WRITE ,

*the reason I post this because many pet lover/dog owner stop them going seasypsy is because they cant bring dog in.here's the screenshot of some comments

*pls take note they might be stricter already because I seen people say seagyspy not allow dog enter AFTER MY TRIP.

The food is not up to my expectations. I barely eat much. So make sure u bring snacks and be well prepared for insects bite

If you plan to go snorkeling. It cost Rm80 per person for less than 3 hours. Nothing special honestly. But it's worth giving a try as experience cause I don't think I will go back again. The water wasn't clear and there's not many fishes. Normally when I join snorkeling trip it will be half-day morning till noon 3 to 4pm. But this time we depart 9.30-9.45AM . We reach back to resort at 11.35am Normally the island tour we go provided lunch at other islands. Nope. They don't. IF you've been to Redang or Thailand or other island ,Normally island tour go to at least 2 location .1 beach and 1 deep sea. But sea gypsy only bring us to 1 beach . No deep sea.which basically not much difference with the hotel resort beach front...

The food. Usually, the resorts that I go provide at least 5 types of dish. (I'm referring to the worst and cheapest resort I go ,not comparing to 3-4 star resorts )But sea gypsy only provide 1 meat and 1 vege and 1 rice . Buffet style but not much selection /choices.

Now they are having promotion buy 2 nights free 1 night. From june till sept 2020 maybe 4 pax .2 room. Cost us Rm3000++ exclude activities and etc .

But customer service is good . People are friendly . The host and staff is all okay The line there is really REALLY BAD.

Yes if it wasnt for my girl I wouldn't go for a resort that no aircond.no water heater. No lock

Theres no key for the rooms. So try not to bring so much valuable stuff

No aircond -but it's really cooling at night

If your partner or family is not beach person. Ask them to download movies or games that no need internet connection.for me and my parents is ok but for my bf is a sad trip

I love snorkelling and etc. So for me to pass time is easy but I think theres beach mites or what idk. I got bitten really badly

Alot people ask me how was the snorkelling. Is it worth the time and money.

So me and other guest said the same thing and some ppl cancel their snorkelling trip I felt bad for the resort but I dont want other ppl to disappoint like me

I usually snorkelling with my gopro camera all the time. It was bored and no fish until the extend I throw my gopro back in the boat . I dont need a camera Hahahahah

I even drop my gopro camera in the water without noticing. Lucky the diver there help me pick it up.

Usually I'm aware with my gadgets but cause my dog suddenly jump on me in the sea. I gotta catch her from falling. So I drop my camera in the sea

If you plan to go. Make sure one of your nights is on sat cause only on Saturday dinner they serve slightly better. bbq . And they have fire dance for short while.

It might not be a good resort for me . But to many western people is good. Probably just not my style . Their target customer is western guest n singaporeans . That's why not many locals know this place

We end up use 3.5k not include tol and petrol

I mean I dont mind paying extra for good food

But their menu is so limited

Even I pay also theres nothing I wanna eat. No spaghetti or chic chop or sandwich to order

I'm really depressed with the food. My bf said I look happier eating Maggie cup than the food they serve

All my dogs are above 10 years old

Oh . I join a malay family jungle trekking with my dog. They are really nice and not afraid of dog. They invited us to go to next resort to snorkelling. We gotta jungle trek about 25mins to reach rimba resort

Its also a must join activity. But best to go in groups .dont go 2 person ya

-IF YOU CANT CONTROL YOUR DOG, LEASH THEM
